Department of Research and Development did not include when Central People’s Service Training School was established in 1965. When it was upgraded as an institute in 1977, Department of Research and Development was extended as a department in the organization structure with the aim of supporting teaching activities. Department of Research and Development consists of 3 departments; ICT Department, International Relations Department, Research and Development Department under the supervision of Senior Head of Department (Research and Development).
To assist in the achievement of goals of Civil Service Academy (Lower Myanmar) by collecting data of subjects, trainers and teaching aids, by maintaining and fulfilling technical equipment and by cooperating International universities and organization.
1 To operate smoothly and ensure the security of e-government implementation activities.
2 To provide and maintain ICT technical facilities for supporting learning.
3 To be able systematically records, research and review all aspects of IR.
4 To collect feedback on subjects and trainers from trainees in time.
