At the beginning of the CICS the laws, rules and orders are delivered as a part of the subjects of the Management Department, since 1965. In 1983, the Department of Law was organized as a separate Department. It performs updating the curriculum and syllabus in accord with changing government policies and guidelines of the Union Civil Service Board. It delivers the Civil Services Personnel Law and Rules that ought to be known by the Civil Service Personnel and other related Laws: Penal Code, Special Laws, Myanmar Customary Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law, International Law, Myanmar Judicial System and Intellectual Property Law, which obey not only Civil Service Personnel but also a citizen. It also delivers the online courses by using Information and Communication Technology.
